Monday, August 24, 2020Suspect Arrested for Attempt Homicide
Turlock Police Detectives arrested Richard Merrill, a 25 year old male from Turlock, for attempt homicide in the 3400 block of Rochester Court in Turlock.
On Sunday, August 23, 2020, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Turlock Police Dispatch received several calls reporting shots had been fired in the area of the 3400 block of Rochester Court. Through the course of the investigation, officers learned that there was a domestic dispute that escalated and resulted in one adult male victim being shot. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Turlock Police Detectives responded and took over the investigation.
A short time later, Richard Merrill arrived at the Turlock Police Department and turned himself in. The firearm was recovered.
