CyberTip Leads to Search Warrant and Arrest of Local Elementary School Campus Supervisor for Possession of Child Pornography

On Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at approximately 10:30 a.m., Turlock Police
Department Detectives arrested 42-year-old John Snoke, resident of Turlock, after
receiving a CyberTip regarding child pornography distribution. This tip was investigated
by Turlock Police Detective Giovacchini which led to the identity of the individual who
had uploaded images to an internet-based application.
Snoke was contacted during the service of a search warrant at his residence. Snoke
was brought to the Turlock Public Safety Facility for questioning. Additional electronic
devices were located at Snoke’s residence and are being processed for further
evidence.
Following the interview, Snoke was arrested at the Turlock Police Department without
incident. Snoke is facing two separate felony child pornography charges; possession of
child pornography and sending or selling obscene matter depicting a minor. Additional
charges may be added once all electronic devices have been analyzed.
Snoke is currently employed as a campus supervisor at a local Turlock Unified
elementary school. At this time, investigators do not believe there are any local student
victims who were targeted but are working diligently to confirm this.
Detective Giovacchini said, “We are leveraging technology and working hard to stop
child exploitation in Turlock. Keeping children safe is my number one priority.”
