On November 6, 2023, at approximately 5:52 p.m., Turlock Police Dispatch received a call of a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian in the 3100 block of West Christoffersen Parkway. When officers arrived on scene, they located an unresponsive male laying in the center median with severe head trauma. Turlock Fire Department and American Medical Response personnel assessed and transported the male to a local area hospital. Shortly after arrival at the hospital, the man succumbed to his injuries.

Witnesses described the responsible vehicle as a light-colored Hummer (H2), and is believed to be between a 2003 to 2009 year model. The unknown driver was seen fleeing eastbound immediately after the collision.
