MORE CHARGES FOR A LOCAL BAND TEACHER AFTER BEING ARRESTED AGAIN AS A RESULT OF AN ON-GOING INVESTIGATION

On Thursday, January 27, 2022, Turlock Police Department Detectives arrested 38 year-old Daniel James Baudino for a third time.  The Turlock teacher was identified as the responsible suspect in an on-going investigation of sex crimes that are believed to have occurred between 2015 to 2019.

Baudino was initially arrested on November 1, 2021, for nine felony sex crimes which were associated with one of his juvenile victims.  As the investigation continued, additional evidence was discovered and two additional victims came forward.  Baudino was again arrested on November 18, 2021, for ten additional felony sex crime charges.

As Turlock Police Department Hi-Tech Detectives continued to process the vast amount of digital evidence that was located and seized during the initial arrest, they uncovered more evidence of additional crimes he perpetrated, which included covertly recording sexual acts without the knowledge of the other party.

Baudino was arrested and booked at the Stanislaus County Jail for one count of possession of child pornography, four counts of contacting a minor for the purposes of sex, five counts of recording sexual activity without consent and eleven counts of using a minor to make child pornography.  On January 27, 2022, Baudino agreed to come to the police department and turn himself in.

Of the forty charges Baudino was arrested for, thirty-five of them are felonies and five are misdemeanors.

As this is an active and on-going investigation, no additional information concerning this case will be released at this time.
