Crime E-Reporting
What type of crime are you reporting?
Please check the category that best describes the incident you are reporting:
Note:
The difference between a theft and a burglary is that in a burglary, the suspects have to intentionally break into a vacant, secure area (like a house) with the intent to steal. Everything else (like taking something out of a store that is open for business) is a petty or grand theft.
Vandalism
- Malicious mischief or damage done to your property.
Lost Property
- Property that is missing and is not known if the property was taken or lost.
Burglary of House, Garage, or Vehicle.
- Intentional illegal entering of a home, garage, or vehicle to take property of another.
Burglary of a Business
- Intentional illegal entering of a business to take property of another.
Petty Theft
- The unlawful taking of the personal property of another valued under $400.
Grand Theft
- The unlawful taking of the personal property of another valued over $400.
Financial Crime
- Theft or fraudulent use of checks, lost or stolen credit cards, or fraudulent use of your identity.
Other Crime
- Crimes that do not fit any of these categories, such as harassing phone calls, obscene language, etc., but do NOT involve any kind of violence or personal attack.
Remember do NOT use on-line reporting to report incidents that involve any kind of violence or personal attack. Instead,
dial 911
for a crime in progress or 668-1200 for a non-emergency.
